CROSSFIRE ROADSTER
Convertible
German-based Karmann, veterans of many DaimlerChrysler projects, designed Crossfire Roadster’s roof structure. Using fully visible cast-aluminum components to maintain premium-level safety standards and weight savings, Karmann developed a soft-top structure as rich in visual appeal as it is flawless in operation. Karmann’s acute grasp of Crossfire’s requirements allowed them to deliver this design request in just 27 hard-working months.
Engine
Crossfire's cosmopolitan gleam draws second glances everywhere from the Autobahn to Highway One. Chrysler Crossfire SRT6 delivers sizzling performance that pays off every promise those looks make. Turning the key brings to life a supercharged 334 Hp (DIN) 3.2 18-valve SOHC V6 engine that's capable of going from 0 to 100 km/h in under five seconds.
Interior Details
Four available interior color combinations prove that cars are still being built for both visual and tactile pleasure. Gauge instrumentation includes a 260-km/h speedometer. An available Infinity Modulus™ 240-watt sound system with dual subwoofers has a Satin Silver speaker trim rings. Available burnished steel pedals continue the tone of a Crossfire model that can demonstrate its abilities on any road you choose.
Power is everywhere in Crossfire, beginning beneath the hood on both Limited and Base models with available 3.2 V6 engines that deliver 218 Hp (DIN) and an exceptional 310 N.m of torque. Overhead, an electric power top with a strong central latch and one-button operation can be retracted in just 22 seconds, and can be replaced and relocked in two easy actions. A rigid frame and performance tuned, double-wishbone front and independent five-link rear suspension provide superlative road manners at every curve. An active rear spoiler deploys in about four seconds. Once vehicle speed exceeds 100 km/h, the spoiler directs air to urge Crossfire Roadster's high-traction 19-inch rear tires down onto the road.
